Abstract:
Female migration to the Middle East as domestic labour has not abated much during the last few years. Many studies have been done on the violence, abuse and exploitation of female workers. However, in spite of these hardships endured by them, migration continues, and one has to assume that women consider migration to be a positive move, and an avenue for economic advancement. This study is conducted to assess the positive impacts of such migration and to assess whether it has led to women’s empowerment.
