Abstract:
This article investigates the impact of migrant remittances on economic growth in South Asia employing data over the 1970-2008 period for India Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Maldives. It also examines the interactive effects of remittances on economic growth through human capital, financial sector development and the physical capital stock.
