    The procedure laid down in this manual will apply to the board of investment and it shall be the duty of all employees of this Board to acquaint themselves with these procedures or any others that will be laid down from time to time and comply with them.Any unauthorized deviation from these procedures will render the employee liable for disciplinary action. In the case of any matter not referred to in this manual the board will be guided by the relevant provisions of the government establishments code.

This guide summarizes and explains to foreign investors how these policies are currently implemented and describes the benefits and assistance they can expect when investing in Sri Lanka. Further action is planned in the institutional support provided to investors and simplification of taxes and tariffs and this guide will be updated to reflect these changes as they are introduced.
